Release Notes

Wallpaper Rotator 0.5

This version includes the following improvements:
  • Saving the choice of "Random Order (Shuffle Mode)"
  • Updating the configuration file when the user removes a picture from the list
  • Window size more adequate to files with long paths
  • Code improvements that reduced the memory required to the program run in the background
  • More readable code, with renaming of functions to more intuitive names and separation of design code from behavior code (can still be improved)

Which version should I download?
  • The Setup version is the recommended one. Just download and run. Wallpaper Rotator will be installed and configured to run automatically on startup. It will be available for you the next time you boot your computer.
  • The Setup (zipped) version is more adequate to users without administrative rights. Those users shoud download this version, unzip both files and run Setup.exe. Wallpaper Rotator will be installed and configured to run automatically on startup. It will be available for you the next time you boot your computer.
  • The without setup version contains only the executable file. You must run the program manually. If you want Wallpaper Rotator to run everytime the system starts up, you should create manually a shortcut in the Startup folder of your Start Menu.

Reviews for this release

Does just what it says, cycles through wallpapers. I would prefer to have just selected a entire folder and have it automatically cycle through the pictures in the folder. Then I can add / delete from the list simply by moving or adding to the folder. As it is, I need to go into the program and update the list each time I make a change in the folder. Still, it does what I need.
